Architectural Engineering Member Visits Fujian Innovation Research Institute to Strengthen Future Cooperation
On 9 July 2026, Ms. Lana Shahab Ahmed, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Architectural Engineering at Cihan University-Erbil, visited the Fujian Innovation Research Institute in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China, to discuss opportunities for future cooperation.
The visit was organized by Angie Cao, Vice Director of the Section of External Cooperation at the Fujian Provincial Center of Science and Technology Achievement Transformation. During the meeting, Ms. Lana Shahab Ahmed was welcomed by Ms. Pan Xiuwen, Deputy Director General of the Fujian Innovation Research Institute, and Mr. Zhang Hua, Director of the Fujian Provincial Center of Science and Technology Achievement Transformation.
The meeting focused on exploring future collaboration between Cihan Group, the Kurdistan Regional Government, and the Fujian Innovation Research Institute. Discussions highlighted the institute’s vision of promoting scientific innovation, advanced research, technology transfer, and international partnerships. Both sides exchanged ideas on developing joint projects, academic cooperation, research collaboration, and professional training to strengthen long-term relations between the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and Fujian Province, China.
During the visit, Ms. Pan Xiuwen presented Ms. Lana Shahab Ahmed with the institute’s latest research publication, introducing its recent scientific achievements and innovative research projects. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their appreciation for the productive discussions and looked forward to establishing future cooperation and building lasting partnerships.
