Architectural Engineering Students Conduct Field Visit to Pavilion Residential Project
On Sunday, November 23, 2025, second-stage students from the Department of Architectural Engineering at Cihan University–Erbil conducted a scientific field visit to the Pavilion Residential Project under the supervision of Lab Assistant Ms. Janain Rashid Abdulkareem.
The students were warmly received by Engineer Mustafa Fadel Ahmed, who provided a detailed explanation of the project’s architectural concept and construction process. He discussed the design philosophy behind the villas, focusing on simplicity, functional zoning, and the harmony between interior and exterior spaces. He also highlighted the importance of natural ventilation, shading, and thermal insulation in enhancing comfort within residential environments.
During the visit, Ms. Janain Rashid guided the students in examining the spatial layout, material selections, and façade details. She emphasized how connecting theoretical principles with real-world applications helps students better understand the design and execution of villa projects. The students actively participated, asking insightful questions about material choices and construction
At the end of the visit, Ms. Janain Rashid expressed her appreciation to the hosting engineers for their hospitality and support in explaining the technical aspects. The visit provided the students with valuable insight into how architectural design concepts are transformed into built structures, enriching their academic learning with practical experience.
