Assistant Lecturer from the Department of Medical Laboratory Analysis Participates in a Scientific Seminar on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Cervical Cancer in China

On Wednesday, July 29, 2026, Assistant Lecturer Sally Khalil Baqer from the Department of Medical Laboratory Analysis at Cihan University-Erbil participated in a specialized scientific seminar held as part of the international training course in Beijing, People’s Republic of China. The seminar focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and clinical case analysis of cervical cancer.
The seminar, presented by Rongling Pan and titled ‘Diagnosis, Treatment, and Case Analysis of Cervical Cancer,’ reviewed internationally recognized approaches to the diagnosis of cervical cancer and highlighted the importance of early detection in improving treatment outcomes and reducing disease-related complications.
The seminar also discussed the fundamental principles of selecting appropriate treatment strategies based on the patient’s clinical condition and the stage of the disease. In addition, several clinical cases were presented and analyzed, with discussions focusing on clinical decision-making and evidence-based management of cervical cancer.
Furthermore, the seminar emphasized the integration of laboratory findings with clinical evaluation to support accurate diagnosis. It also highlighted the importance of regular follow-up and organized screening programs for the early detection of precancerous cervical lesions, thereby increasing treatment success rates and improving the quality of healthcare services provided to patients.
