Biomedical Sciences Department Organized Scientific Visits to the Hospitals and Medical Laboratories

As a continuation of the activities of the Department of Biomedical Sciences of Cihan University – Erbil, on 11 October 2022 (Tuesday) under the supervision of Assistant Lecturers Mr. Hardi Shukr and Mr. Mohammed M. Hussein, organized scientific visits for its second-year students.

During the visits, the students launched a blood donation campaign to help and save those in need of blood, as well as the students of the aforementioned department themselves in various ways in an attempt to pay more attention to practical and fieldwork. These include visiting hospitals, medical laboratories, and several universities to familiarize the students with the study process of the other universities and medical laboratories. This is because the curriculum and programme of the abovementioned department aim to constantly try to improve the practical knowledge related to hospitals, medical laboratories, and beauty centers for its students.

Through these visits, the students learned how to separate blood components and how to use medical laboratory equipment. They also knew one of the main objectives of Cihan University – Erbil is to get them more familiar with hospitals, universities, and medical laboratories, so that they can find jobs easily after graduation.
