Biomedical Sciences Department Students Organized an Educational Visit to the Nwebunawa Oil Factory
On Thursday, January 16, 2025, first-year students from the Department of Biomedical Sciences embarked on an educational visit to the Nwebunawa Oil Factory, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Bakhtawar Ziad Omar.
The students received a warm welcome from Mr. Mohammed Rostam Zangana, the factory’s owner, who gave an in-depth presentation about the factory’s operations and development. He highlighted the importance of promoting a healthier lifestyle, which includes avoiding inorganic food sources and adopting safer and natural alternatives.
Mr. Mohammed explained the advanced techniques employed to extract pure and natural oil, emphasizing their health benefits. He also showcased the factory’s commitment to sustainability by using organic raw materials and a solar-powered system to provide electricity for its operations.
The visit offered the students valuable insights into the oil extraction processes and sterilization techniques. After the tour, Assistant Lecturer Bakhtawar expressed her gratitude to Mr. Mohammed for providing the students with the opportunity to learn about the factory’s innovative practices and technologies.
