Biomedical Sciences Department Students Visit Majidi Hospital Units
On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, first-stage students from the Department of Biomedical Sciences visited Majidi Hospital under the supervision of Ms. Nashmil Omar Abdullah.
The students were warmly received by Dr. Handren Majidi, General Director of the hospital, along with the hospital’s respected staff, who guided them through various hospital units. The visit began at the Emergency Unit, where students were briefed on patient intake procedures, first aid practices, and the critical equipment and devices used in life-saving interventions.
Following this, the students toured the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where they were introduced to the Infant Bilirubin Phototherapy Unit for premature infants and the bilirubinometer device used for diagnosing jaundice in neonates. They later visited the hospital pharmacy, where Dr. Handren explained the classification of different drug groups, the organization of the pharmacy, and safe drug storage practices.
On behalf of the department, Ms. Nashmil expressed sincere gratitude to Dr. Handren and the hospital staff for their warm welcome and support during the educational visit.
