
Breastfeeding Awareness Campaign
on August 2, 2018, a group of Nutrition deartment students and IFMSA kurdistan strat a breastfeeding awareness campaign to educates women on the importance and benefits of breastfeeding, not only to their babies, but to themselves as well. The media is aimed at women in Hawler Maternity hospital.
Breast milk contains antibodies that help your baby fight off viruses and bacteria. Breastfeeding lowers your baby’s risk of having asthma or allergies. Plus, babies who are breastfed exclusively for the first 6 months, without any formula, have fewer ear infections, respiratory illnesses, and bouts of diarrhea.
