Business Administration Department: Exploring Manufacturing Operations at Bnagha Company in Erbil

On Thursday, April 24, 2025, third-year students from the Department of Business Administration at Cihan University – Erbil organized a scientific visit to the Bnagha Manufacturing Company, located in an industrial zone in Erbil. It is dedicated to the production of B.R.C. The visit was held under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qadir. The students were warmly received by Mr. Chewar Hama Jaza, the Sales Manager of the company, and Mr. Gardun Fatah Hama, a staff member in the Management Department and a third-year student from the Business Administration Department at Cihan University – Erbil.

During the visit, Mr. Chewar provided an overview of the factory’s work process. He explained that Bnagha, which is the first B.R.C. manufacturing company in Erbil and Iraq, and was founded in 2007, belongs to the Yaqub Group of Companies. He emphasized the need to create strong buyer-seller relationships, which significantly impact product sales.

After that, the students were introduced to Odoo —the company’s accounting software. It is an online British system that includes many features, such as the profit and loss account. He mentioned that an accountant is mainly responsible for recording the company’s income and expenditure.

Mr. Gardun later discussed the importance of raw materials from southern Iraq, Iran, and Ukraine. He explained how these materials are recycled and converted into iron in the Kurdistan Region. He also described the production process and added that most of the products at that company are sold locally and in the southern regions of Iraq at various prices according to the weight of the B.R.C.

The visit was an enjoyable and educational experience for the students, as they gained valuable knowledge of factory operations, management responsibilities, production processes, and sales strategies.
