Business Administration Department Students on an Educational Visit to the Board of Supreme Audit, Kurdistan Region – Iraq

Third- and fourth-year students from the Department of Business Administration at Cihan University – Erbil conducted an educational visit to the Board of Supreme Audit, Kurdistan Region – Iraq branch on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. The visit was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Qusay Hameed Al-Salami and coordinated by Assistant Lecturer Heefee Mohammed Qader.

They were welcomed by Mr. Mohsen Mohammed Saleh, Director of Training and Development at the institution, who led a guided tour of the department and explained their vital functions. The visit concluded in the Conference Hall, where Mr. Wazir Kamal Saleh delivered a lecture on the concept of financial auditing, its divisions, and its relationship with governmental institutions in the Kurdistan Region and the federal government.

Through discussions and Q&A sessions, the students gained insights into the institution’s key role in revenue collection from fees imposed on regional government departments and border crossings, along with its auditing and monitoring processes before transferring revenues to the Kurdistan Regional presidency. The lecture also addressed the utilization of these revenues in employee salary payments, infrastructure development, and fulfilling governmental needs, enhancing the students’ understanding of the significance of financial auditing in economic development.
