Business Administration Department Students Participate in Ranj Program on Rudaw TV

On Sunday, October 11, 2026, students from different academic years in the Department of Business Administration at Cihan University–Erbil participated in the television program Ranj, broadcast on Rudaw TV. The program discussed several important topics, including changes to the university admission system, students’ future prospects, and the relationship between universities and the job market.

At the beginning of the program, Ranj introduced its main topics and highlighted the importance of preparing students for university life and their future after graduation.

Dr. Bilal Ahmed Wahab then stated that Iraq’s job market has undergone changes, but the system still needs further development. He noted that solving the unemployment issue is not the responsibility of universities alone, but it requires cooperation and coordination among the relevant institutions. He also emphasized that graduates do not necessarily have to work only in the fields they studied. By developing their skills and gaining experience, they can also succeed in other fields.

During another part of the program, Dr. Karzan Mohsin pointed out that some students lack sufficient information about university departments and fields of study. Therefore, students should receive proper guidance and information to help them make informed decisions when choosing their university majors.

Finally, Dr. Khattab Ahmed emphasized the importance of regulating the job market through legislation to improve the alignment between labour market needs and graduates’ skills.

The students’ participation in this program provided them with a valuable opportunity to learn more about changes in the job market, the importance of choosing suitable fields of study, and the need to develop personal and professional skills for the future.
