Business Administration Students Conduct a Scientific Visit to Rizgary Municipality
On Monday, 26 January 2026, a scientific visit was arranged for students from different academic stages to the Rizgary Municipality Directorate, affiliated with Rizgary District. The aim of the visit was to familiarize students with the management of government institutions, with a special focus on the administrative work of the Rizgary Municipality.
The visit was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qadir. Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by Mr. Rebaz Qasim Mirani, Director of the Municipality Directorate.
Afterward, Mr. Hiwa Mirani, Head of the Legal Unit and Deputy Director of the Directorate, met with the students. In his speech, he advised students to develop additional skills and professions alongside their academic specialization. He also emphasized that students should not limit their career ambitions to the public sector only, as the private sector also offers good opportunities and income for developing skills and building a successful professional future.
Mr. Hiwa Mirani then guided the students on a tour of the Directorate’s departments, which consist of five main sections: Legal, Technical, Administrative, Property, and Accounting. He highlighted the importance of the Technical Department, describing it as the foundation of the Directorate because all planning activities depend on it. He also explained the role of the Property Department, which is responsible for preserving land records and ownership data.
During the visit, students were introduced to the Administrative Department, which manages the Directorate’s daily administrative affairs. In the final part of the visit, they learned about the Accounting Department, which is considered one of the most important departments because it handles financial matters, records official receipts, and ensures that revenues are returned to the government.
In conclusion, the scientific visit provided students with practical knowledge and allowed them to ask questions about public-sector institutions. The supervising lecturer expressed sincere thanks to the staff of the Municipality Directorate for offering this valuable opportunity to the students.
