Business Administration Students Visit Amazon Library in Erbil
On Wednesday, 21 January 2026, the Business Administration Department organized a scientific visit to the Amazon Library in Erbil under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qader.
Upon arrival, the students were warmly received by Ms. Hana Tahseen, a staff member of the library. At the beginning of the visit, she spoke about the history of the library’s establishment and informed the students that the library was originally named Derin but was later renamed Amazon Library.
During the visit, Mr. Manaf Saber Aziz, the owner and manager of the library, explained that the library houses more than 10,000 book titles for different age groups and in various fields, including science, medicine, literature, politics, poetry, and religion. He added that the books are available in Kurdish, English, and Arabic, with some titles imported from the United Kingdom and the United States. He also noted that children’s books and novels are the most popular among readers.
Mr. Manaf further emphasized the importance of providing copying and printing services according to customers’ requests. He added that the library sells books both individually and in bulk to customers across all Iraqi provinces.
Throughout the visit, the students explored the different sections of the library and became familiar with the services it provides, which support the needs of the community by offering a wide range of books.
