Cihan Food Festival and Medical Exhibition

On 12 and 13 October 2022, the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics in collaboration with other medical departments of Cihan University-Erbil, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi (President of Cihan University-Erbil) as a tribute to the World Food Day, will organize a Food Festival and Medical Exhibition.

The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics celebrates the World Food Day yearly to increase awareness and promote action for those who suffer from hunger and to highlight the need to ensure healthy diets for all through food festivals, workshops, and seminars.

Students, lecturers, and community will participate in this two-day event by suggesting healthy foods and beverages including proper food preparations. Students will also present posters and pamphlets regarding diet and diseases, functional foods, and food related topics.

This year the food festival provides the opportunity for the medical clinics, instrumental companies, NGOs working in health and food nutrition to launch their products and organize their activities.

In addition, the festival offers free nutritional assessment and medical tests.
