Cihan University-Erbil Freshmen of Radiological Imaging Technology Department Pay a Scientific Visit to Shar Hospital
On Monday, December 16, 2024, the Radiological Imaging Technology Department at Cihan University-Erbil organized a scientific visit for the first-year students to Shar Hospital in Erbil. The visit aimed to familiarize students with key medical devices used in their field and to enrich their practical knowledge as part of the department’s efforts to integrate theoretical learning with real-world applications.
During the visit, students explored a variety of advanced medical imaging devices, including X-ray machines, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) systems, Computed Tomography (CT) scanners, and mammography equipment.
The visit was supervised by Assistant Professor Ma’an Safaa and Laboratory Assistant Barzin Kamal, and the students were welcomed by Mr. Helmat Fares, Head of the Radiology Department at Shar Hospital. Mr. Fares provided a detailed explanation of the functionality of the devices and their roles in diagnosing various medical conditions.
This scientific visit is part of the department’s strategy to enhance students’ practical skills from the early stages of their academic journey. By organizing such activities, the department aims to prepare students for professional environments and ensure they are familiar with the latest technological advancements in medical imaging.
