Cihan University-Erbil hosted a Joint An International Workshop on Exploring the Synergy of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT)

Cihan University-Erbil hosted a Joint International Workshop from May 17 to 18, 2023, in collaboration with the Computer Science Department and the Software Engineering Department. The workshop, titled ‘An International Workshop on Exploring the Synergy of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT): Empowering the Future of Smart Technologies’, aimed to highlight the recent scientific advancements in the field of AI and IoT technologies.

This two-day workshop delved into the latest developments in artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. It featured sessions on May 17 and 18, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration.

The event gathered 11 researchers from the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Informatics and Software Engineering of Cihan University-Erbil, Iraq. Additionally, the workshop welcomed six international researchers from the State of Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, Libya, and the United Kingdom, enriching the discussions with their expertise.

Moreover, the workshop provided an opportunity for students from the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Informatics and Software Engineering to showcase their practical projects. These projects had been implemented by the students under the supervision of professors from the aforementioned scientific departments. The inclusion of student participation added a valuable perspective to the workshop, showcasing the practical applications of AI and IoT.
