In the context of its collaborative endeavors and to facilitate scientific and educational exchanges with international institutions, and in consideration of the recently signed memoranda of understanding between Cihan University-Erbil and universities in Poland, Cihan University-Erbil has commenced preparations for dispatching a new group of students to pursue studies in Poland.
This group comprises eleven students, selected based on the scientific criteria established jointly by Cihan University-Erbil, Warsaw University of Life Sciences, SGGW, Poland, and Lodz University, Poland. These students are ready to embark on their academic journey to Poland as part of three distinct projects: Six of these students, selected from the departments of Nutrition and Dietetics, Medical Microbiology, Business Administration, Medical Biochemical Analysis, Community Health Nursing, and Biomedical Sciences, are participating under the ongoing agreement between Cihan University-Erbil and Warsaw University of Life Sciences, SGGW, Poland. Another segment, consisting of three students from the departments of Medical Microbiology and Business Administration, will be visiting Poland in alignment with the stipulations of the agreement between Cihan University-Erbil and University of Lodz. Additionally, two students from the departments of Nutrition, Dietetics, and Biomedical Sciences have been nominated to partake in studies in Poland under the Erasmus Plus program, adhering to the program’s specific criteria.
This group of students is scheduled to depart for Poland in February to undertake a comprehensive four-month spring course. This initiative is a strategic component of Cihan University-Erbil’s commitment to offering distinctive educational opportunities for students at various stages of their academic journey. The objective is to enhance their proficiency, aptitude, and skill sets in alignment with their respective specializations.
The departure of these 11 students to Poland represents the fifth group of its type. The first group, sent in 2019, comprised 10 students. This was followed by the second group in 2022, consisting of four students. The third group, sent in 2023, included 17 students. Concurrently in the same year, a fourth group of five students was also sent to Poland, who are presently in the process of returning. Additionally, four educators have been sent as part of these ongoing educational exchange initiatives.
For the academic year 2024-2025, Cihan University-Erbil plans to dispatch over 30 students from all its departments, adhering to the same strategic objective. Concurrently, the University Presidency and the Department of International Relations are actively engaged in ongoing dialogues with universities in the Czech Republic, Italy, China, Malaysia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and various other nations. This is part of a concerted effort to broaden the spectrum of scientific collaborations and facilitate student exchanges across diverse disciplines. These endeavors represent significant academic milestones for the students, offering them opportunities to enrich their skills with new experiences and to harvest the benefits of these endeavors in their future endeavors.
