Cihan University-Erbil, Participates in the 4th Kurdistan Education Forum
On Thursday, July 30, 2026, the Presidency of Cihan University-Erbil participated in the opening of the 4th Kurdistan Education Forum (KEF 2026) held at the Erbil International Fair, under the theme “Modern Education, Skills, and Quality.”
The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Alan Hama Saeed, the Minister of Education; Dr. Aram Ahmed Qadir, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Rebar Ahmed, the Minister of Interior; Mohammed Abdulrahman, the Syrian Minister of Education; Aydin Marouf, the Minister for Components’ Affairs; Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil; Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil; and Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bajger, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cihan Universities and Institutes.
The forum, spanning four days, focuses on pedagogical System transformations through scientific panels addressing the preparation of teaching staff for technological advancements. Discussions emphasized aligning curricula with labor market requirements and implementing digitalization in the educational process to enhance cadre competencies. Cihan University-Erbil, in coordination with the Cihan Group for Education, participated with a dedicated stand providing detailed information on academic departments and admission opportunities for the 2026-2027 academic year. The university delegation engaged with various international and local experts to exchange insights on advancing scientific standards in schools and universities.
The first day concluded with a tour of the exhibition facilities by the guests and participants, facilitating professional discussions between specialists and academics. Throughout the remaining days of the forum, Cihan University-Erbil will continue to receive university students, school pupils, and their families to provide guidance on academic programs and available educational opportunities.
