Cihan University-Erbil Students Commence New Academic Semester at the University of Lodz, Poland

On Monday, February 23, 2026, Cihan University–Erbil students participated in the official Welcome Meeting for international exchange students at the University of Lodz in Poland, marking the beginning of their new academic semester.

During the meeting, officials from the International Relations Office welcomed the global student cohort and provided a comprehensive orientation on the university’s various departments and facilities. The Cihan University–Erbil students also received practical guidance on daily life in Lodz, including information on transportation systems and essential safety measures to be observed during their stay.

The meeting, held under the theme “We Create UniLodz Together,” emphasized the importance of fostering a diverse and inclusive international academic community. This exchange program offers Cihan University–Erbil students an opportunity to enrich their academic experience while proudly representing the higher education sector of the Kurdistan Region on a global stage.

The participating cohort, committed to completing a full academic semester in Poland, includes Al-Ayham Salahaddin Basil, a third-year student from the Department of English Language, and Aland Sherzad Ibrahim, a second-year student from the Department of Computer Science. Following the official reception, the students conducted a campus tour to familiarize themselves with the academic and administrative environment of the University of Lodz.
