Cihan University-Erbil Students Discover New Year and Christmas Preparations in Warsaw
On Sunday, November 30, 2025, Cihan University-Erbil students, currently studying at the University of Lodz and the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, visited several cultural sites in the capital city of Warsaw as part of ongoing visits to various cultural centers and institutions aimed at familiarizing themselves with how the Polish people prepare for the New Year and Christmas holidays.
During their visit to the city center, the students gained close insight into Warsaw’s winter ambiance and festive preparations for the New Year and Christmas season. The city was beautifully adorned with glittering lights and Christmas trees, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere filled with hope and optimism.
The students began their tour at the Christmas market, known for its beauty and size, located near a prominent cultural center, where they enjoyed the lively environment enriched with spiritual music and the aromas of traditional Christmas foods. They explored various stalls and viewed numerous artistic and cultural displays before walking through the main streets and visiting historical and tourist sites, gaining deeper exposure to the cultural diversity of Poland.
The students included Ibrahim Zaki Mohammed Salih, a second-stage Physiotherapy student; Marwan Mohammed Ahmed, a second-stage Nutrition and Dietetics student; Mohamed Ali Baktish, a third-stage Medical Laboratory Analysis student; and Seedra Nihad Isshaq, Raya Ameer Aljabbar, and Avin Raad Mohammed, all fourth-year students in the Business Administration department. These students are continuing their academic journey in Poland by completing an advanced study program as part of their ongoing academic development.
