Cihan University-Erbil Students Engage in Scientific Coordination with Faculty of Human Nutrition’s International Collaboration Representative
Students from Cihan University-Erbil, currently in Poland, actively engage in diverse scientific meetings and activities alongside their primary academic responsibilities. In this regard, Ahmad Jabar Hassan, a second-year student from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Cihan University-Erbil currently undertaking a course in Poland, visited Assistant Professor Dr. Katarzyna Świąder, the Dean’s representative for international collaboration at Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Poland, on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to pursue studies in Poland, Ahmad Jabar Hassan emphasized the significance of facilitating the exchange of students and staff between universities through joint agreements and various programs such as the Erasmus Plus initiative.
During the meeting, the Dean’s representative for international collaboration of the Faculty of Human Nutrition shared insights into the university’s future projects. She revealed plans to launch a new department named “Food Nutrition” in collaboration with the existing Departments of “Nutrition” and “Food Science,” offering bachelor’s degrees to graduates. At the postgraduate level, the university aims to introduce English-language nutrition courses for higher education applicants, currently only available in Polish. This initiative is expected to provide valuable opportunities for foreign students and graduates from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Cihan University-Erbil to further their studies.
In conclusion, the Dean’s representative extended appreciation to Cihan University-Erbil for enabling students to pursue studies in Poland, contributing to the expansion and strengthening of scientific relations with Warsaw University of Life Sciences, SGGW. She expressed gratitude for the coordination and cooperation from Cihan University-Erbil, emphasizing the importance of the collaborative efforts in enhancing academic connections.
