Cihan University – Erbil Students from the College of Pharmacy Visited the Central Laboratory
Cihan University-Erbil works hard to build strong ties with well-known universities and research centers. On Thursday, February 27, 2025, Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Delawi, the President of Cihan University – Erbil, signed a partnership deal with Universiti Putra Malaysia.
Before finalizing the agreement, Professor Dr. Amjad met with a delegation from Universiti Putra Malaysia, led by Professor Dr. Mohammed Johari Mohammed Yusuf, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia. They discussed the importance of establishing and strengthening academic cooperation between the two universities to exchange experiences and knowledge in various fields.
To achieve this goal, Professor Dr. Amjad received the visiting delegation and provided a brief introduction about the university, including its academic departments, faculty members, students, and institutional vision. They also discussed the necessity of faculty and the Student Exchange Programs and the benefits of learning from each other’s experiences. In response, Professor Dr. Mohammed expressed appreciation for their visit to the Kurdistan region and their participation in the 5th International Scientific Conference on Civil and Urban Engineering. During the meeting, both sides explored additional opportunities for collaboration.
Later, during a special event attended by key figures, namely Professor Dr. Ayad Hazim Hassan, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulstar Karim, the Vice President for Administrative and Student Affairs, and the Dean of the College of Engineering, the delegation signed the agreement on behalf of the president of Universiti Putra Malaysia. The agreement sets out plans for the two universities to organize joint international conferences, symposia, and workshops in various fields, and it provides a clear roadmap for future cooperation.
After signing the agreement, Professor Dr. Amjad presented Professor Dr. Mohammed with the university logo and an honorary shield as a sign of thanks. He expressed his hope that this agreement will be an important step in building stronger ties between the two universities and supporting scientific work for both communities.
