Cihan University-Erbil Students Visit Kościuszko Mound National Monument in Krakow, Poland
Cihan University-Erbil students, currently studying under the Student Exchange Program at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, visited Poland’s national monument, Kościuszko Mound (Kopiec Kościuszki), in Kraków on Saturday, November 8, 2025. They were Ibrahim Zaki Mohammed Salih, a second-stage student in the Department of Physiotherapy; Marwan Mohammed Ahmed, a second-stage student in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics; and Mohamed Ali Baktish, a third-stage student in the Department of Medical Laboratory Analysis.
During the tour, the students became acquainted with Kościuszko Mound, built as a symbol and tribute to the Polish national hero Tadeusz Kościuszko. Located at one of Kraków’s highest points, the site offers breathtaking views of the city. The students enjoyed the panoramic scenery from the mound and received detailed information about the historical significance of the monument.
The students expressed their delight that, in addition to completing their studies in Poland, they can explore the country’s historical, cultural, and societal aspects, thereby broadening their intellectual horizons.
This experience was not only educational but also served as an opportunity for cultural exchange and teamwork. Such activities help strengthen bonds among students from diverse backgrounds, fostering lasting memories and a sense of global community.
