Cihan University-Erbil Students Visited Body Worlds Amsterdam
A group of Cihan University-Erbil students, along with Siban Nawzad Ismail and Shewar Rzhdi Mohammed from the Medical Biochemical Analysis and General Education Departments, respectively, is taking a course at the University of Lodz in Poland.
On Saturday, December 28, 2024, they visited the Science Museum of Body Worlds Amsterdam, where various must-see exhibitions of health, sports, nutrition, and human anatomy were held. During their visit, they were familiarized with the different parts of the human body. It is a unique scientific experience, especially for students and those who care about the body and its structure. What attracted the attention of the students and visitors was the scientific display of the human body and the analysis of the different aspects of each part, which gave the museum a more scientific appearance.
Founded by Dr. Gunther von Hagens in 1995, Body Worlds Amsterdam has been visited by nearly 40 million people. In 1977, particularly at the University of Heidelberg, Dr. Gunther von Hagens invented plastination, which refers to a process used in anatomy to preserve bodies or body parts for scientific research and medical education. Although his works have been copied many times, his creativity is still remarkable and unprecedented.
