College of Dentistry Students Participate in DENTOVATE 2026 Seminar

On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, the College of Dentistry participated in the DENTOVATE 2026 Seminar, organized by Advanced Dent Training Center.

The seminar, entitled ‘Sectional Mechanics: More Control, Less Unwanted Movement’ was presented by Dr. Brwa Chapook and focused on key principles and clinical applications of sectional mechanics in orthodontics.

Third-stage students Khalida Ghazi Majeed, Ahen Salam Haji, Shenes Nawzad Mahmood, and Mand Farhad Mohamad participated in the seminar under the supervision of Lecturer Razan Burhanaldden Mohamad.

The seminar addressed wire configuration and bends, anchorage control, force systems, and the management of unwanted tooth movement. It also highlighted the clinical application of sectional mechanics through case-based discussions and practical examples, emphasizing how controlled force systems can improve tooth movement while minimizing unwanted effects.

At the end of the seminar, the participants received certificates of participation and gifts in recognition of their attendance and active involvement.
