College of Dentistry Students Participate in TEDx Nishtiman

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, the highly anticipated TEDx Nishtiman event was held at Saad Abdullah Hall in Erbil. The event was attended by His Excellency Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, along with a distinguished gathering of experts from scientific, artistic, and cultural fields, as well as numerous political, governmental, and administrative figures.

A group of third-year students from the College of Dentistry at Cihan University-Erbil, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Sawen Tahseen Taha, actively participated in this significant event. Their participation offered an invaluable opportunity to broaden their knowledge and engage with diverse perspectives. During his address, the Prime Minister expressed strong support for the TEDx Nishtiman project, encouraging the youth of the region to develop their ideas and innovations to serve Kurdistan effectively.

A highlight of the event was a comprehensive international exhibition, where participants showcased products and innovations across various sectors, including medical, engineering, artistic, cultural, and environmental fields. The students toured the exhibition, gaining firsthand insight into the latest developments in education, science, culture, art, and the innovative ideas presented by young entrepreneurs and professionals.
