College of Pharmacy Students Explore Human Anatomy at Hawler Medical University
On Thursday, November 27, 2025, second-year students from the College of Pharmacy at Cihan University–Erbil participated in an educational field visit to the Anatomy Laboratory at Hawler Medical University.
The visit was supervised by Dr. Fars Mhamad, Lecturer, and Ms. Mamle Hama Abdulla, Lab Assistant, who guided the students throughout the session. Dr. Fars delivered a detailed explanation of the major anatomy and structures of the human body. He demonstrated anatomical features on real human cadaver specimens, allowing students to closely observe organs, systems, and anatomical relationships in a practical and comprehensive manner.
During the session, students actively engaged with the instructors by asking insightful questions related to human anatomy. They inquired about the differences between male and female pelvic structures, the functional importance of the liver’s lobes, and how the nervous system coordinates with other organs to maintain body functions. Some students expressed curiosity about the role of heart valves in regulating blood flow, while others asked about anatomical variations that may occur in the digestive system. These discussions not only clarified complex concepts but also promoted critical thinking, making the visit an interactive and intellectually stimulating learning experience.
