College of Pharmacy Students Provide Clothing Donations to an Orphanage
On Thursday, February 5, 2026, students from the College of Pharmacy at Cihan University–Erbil provided clothing donations to an orphanage. As part of their commitment to social responsibility, the college organized this humanitarian activity with the participation of students from all academic stages.
The activity was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Hawta Salam Khalid and formed part of the college’s ongoing efforts to instill values of empathy, cooperation, and volunteerism among its students. Upon arrival, the group was warmly received by the orphanage manager, Ms. Rezhna Jawad, who expressed her gratitude for their compassionate gesture. The students distributed clothing to the children in an organized and respectful manner, bringing joy and comfort while addressing essential needs.
Beyond providing material support, the initiative aimed to raise awareness among students and the wider community about the importance of active participation in social development. Through direct engagement, students were able to apply the principles of social responsibility in a meaningful way.
The visit concluded with mutual appreciation. The orphanage staff thanked the students and lecturer for their support, while the supervising lecturer commended the dedication of the orphanage team. He also reaffirmed that the College of Pharmacy at Cihan University–Erbil will continue to organize similar activities to strengthen ties between academic institutions and social organizations, reinforcing their shared role in serving the community.
