College of Pharmacy Trains Its Students in First Aid Skills to Enhance Their Professional Readiness
On November 16, 2024, the College of Pharmacy at Cihan University – Erbil, in collaboration with the MedHand Organization, organized a specialized training course titled “Basic Life Support.”
The course was held under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Mohammad Ayden, in cooperation with the head of MedHand Organization, Mr. Bahoz Argoshi, at Cihan University – Erbil.
Second- and third-year pharmacy students participated in the course, acquiring both theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to apply first aid principles in academic and professional settings. The training program included theoretical aspects, explaining the basic principles of first aid and the key measures to take in emergencies. It also featured practical components, where students were trained to apply these skills in real-life scenarios, enhancing their ability to respond efficiently and promptly to critical situations.
This initiative is part of the College of Pharmacy’s efforts to enhance its students’ competencies and prepare them to face professional challenges, thereby strengthening their active role in the healthcare sector.
