Third-year students from the Department of Computer Science at Cihan University–Erbil visited HITEX 2026 at the Erbil International Fairground on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Assistant Lecturer Sara Jamal Hussein supervised the visit, to introduce students to the technologies and services on display, particularly those relevant to their specialization.

The visit, which focused on connecting theoretical knowledge with practical applications in information technology and enhancing students’ understanding of the role of cybersecurity in protecting systems, data, and digital services, sought to familiarize them with technology companies and their solutions, and to explore professional skills relevant to their specialization and academic development.

The students also saw the department’s participation in the exhibition, represented by a fourth-year student, Najia Nawzad Qadir, who presented BestBid and introduced its services to visitors. The application allows users to participate in online auctions for various products.

 This participation offers an opportunity to engage with the public and gain practical experience in explaining digital applications and services, strengthening the connection between university studies and the technology workplace.
