Creating Employment and Training Opportunities: Cihan University-Erbil and Al Salt Hospitality Discuss Strategic Cooperation

The President of Cihan University-Erbil, Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, received a high-level delegation from Al Salt Hospitality on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. The visiting delegation included Mr. Rami George Salameh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Ms. Tamara Maymoon, Human Resources (HR) Director.

The meeting was attended by the university’s vice presidents and the Head of the Business Administration Department. Professor Dr. Al-Delawi opened the session with a comprehensive overview of Cihan University–Erbil’s founding history, academic evolution, and strategic vision. He emphasized that the university aims to move beyond theoretical instruction by equipping students with practical competencies essential for a seamless transition into the global labor market. In response, Mr. Rami George expressed his appreciation for the collaboration, presented the company’s portfolio, and affirmed Al Salt Hospitality’s interest in recruiting the talented and skilled students of Cihan University–Erbil.

The primary focus of the meeting was developing future cooperation mechanisms, particularly in creating employment opportunities and providing field training and internships for students and graduates within Al Salt Hospitality’s various projects. Both parties highlighted that this partnership would significantly enhance students’ professional development and support their successful integration into the industry.

The visit concluded with an exchange of proposals to establish a strategic roadmap for signing an official Memorandum of Understanding in the near future, ensuring the practical implementation of these collaborative efforts.
