Dental Technology Department Students Visit the German Dental Center Laboratory

Second-year students from the Dental Technology Department at Cihan University-Erbil visited the German Dental Center Laboratory on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Mahmoud Abdullah Ahmad.

Upon arrival, the students were received by Mr. Kawan Saleh Othman, the Laboratory Director, who provided them with an overview of the laboratory’s operations. The visit focused on enhancing the students’ knowledge of modern methods and techniques used in advanced laboratories and introducing them to modern digital workflows supported by artificial intelligence, which contribute to the production of highly efficient dental prostheses in terms of both function and aesthetics.

During the visit, the students gained in-depth knowledge of the professional methodologies employed in the advanced stages of various dental prosthetic procedures. Additionally, they learned about the advanced equipment and materials utilized in the manufacture of dental prostheses. Mr. Kawan later provided a detailed explanation of the laboratory’s workflow and the use of modern technologies, in addition to answering the students’ scientific and practical queries.
