Department of Anesthesia Techniques Conducts a Scientific Field Visit to Erbil International Hospital
On Thursday, January 29, 2026, the Department of Anesthesia Techniques at Cihan University–Erbil organized a scientific field visit for second-year students to Erbil International Hospital. The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between academic theory and clinical practice.
The visit was conducted under the supervision of Laboratory Assistant Mirzan Mustafa Omar and was warmly received by the hospital administration. At the outset, Dr. Lawa Hussain, a specialist in General Surgery and Liver, Spleen, and Pancreas Surgery, delivered a welcoming address in which he emphasized the vital role of medical institutions in supporting the educational process and preparing future healthcare professionals.
During the tour, students visited several specialized departments, including Pediatrics, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. This hands-on experience enabled students to gain firsthand insight into clinical procedures and the professional healthcare environment related to their field. Medical staff and specialists provided detailed explanations of daily clinical protocols and patient management, with particular emphasis on anesthesia techniques and perioperative care.
The visit concluded with the faculty supervisor, on behalf of the Department of Anesthesia Techniques, expressing sincere appreciation to the administration of Erbil International Hospital and Dr. Lawa Hussain for their hospitality and continued cooperation in enhancing students’ practical skills.
