Department of Biomedical Sciences Students Promote Healthy Nutrition During Ramadan at Peshmerga Park
On Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, third-stage students from the Department of Biomedical Sciences organized a health awareness campaign at Peshmerga Park. The initiative aimed to raise public awareness about healthy and balanced nutrition during the month of Ramadan.
During the campaign, the students distributed educational brochures to families and visitors in the park. The materials provided practical guidance on maintaining a balanced diet throughout Ramadan, emphasizing the importance of proper nutritional planning to sustain energy levels during fasting and to support overall health.
The activity involved direct engagement with families and community members, as students explained the key messages of the brochures and answered questions about healthy meal planning during fasting. The campaign highlighted that balanced nutrition during Ramadan is not about deprivation but about appropriate portion control and nutritional balance.
Throughout the event, the students interacted with numerous families, women, and children, fostering a positive and informative atmosphere. The initiative reflected the Department’s commitment to community service and its ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and encourage positive lifestyle practices within the community.
