Department of Business Administration at Cihan University-Erbil Visit Zom Company

On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, a group of fourth-stage students from the Department of Business Administration at Cihan University-Erbil visited Zom Company in Erbil under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qadir. The visit provided the students with valuable practical insights into the company’s operations and production processes.

Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by Mr. Mahmod Shet Muhamaddamin, the Director of Marketing, who gave an overview of the company’s operations. He explained how fresh milk is sourced, tested for quality in laboratories, and processed into products such as milk, cheese, and yogurt. He also emphasized the importance of the supply chain, noting that materials are sourced both locally and internationally, and described how the production and sales departments collaborate to meet demand.

During the visit, the students learned about various aspects of the company’s operations. Mr. Mahmod discussed the role of the finance department, which uses the Odoo system, the sales department, which monitors product expiry dates, and manages cash-only sales. The marketing department was highlighted for its focus on product design, market distribution, and data analysis. Additionally, Mr. Hoshmand Nihmat Mustafa, the Director of the Market Research Office, explained that the company’s name was inspired by the surrounding mountains.

At the end of the visit, Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qadir expressed gratitude to Mr. Mahmod Shet Muhamaddamin for providing the students with valuable practical insights.
