DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING VISIT THE 150-METER ROAD PROJECT IN ERBIL

On 17 October 2022 (Monday), the Department of Civil Engineering organized a scientific visit to the project of the road 150-meter between the cities of Erbil and Dohuk under the supervision of the Highway Engineer Assistant Lecturer Mr. Dilzar Qadir Bakr.

During the visit day, Engineer Mr. Aza Abdul Rahman Hamad, welcomed Assistant Lecturer Mr. Dilzar Qadir Bakr and the students.

Engineer Mr. Aza Abdul Rahman Hamad briefed students on stages and processes of implementation of the road starting from soil examinations and its analysis and completion of the remaining layers of the road. Through the visit, the students learned how to design the layers of the road, the work of the sidewalks, the thickness of each layer, as well as how to make the necessary tests of soil and asphalt.

At the end of the visit, Assistant Lecturer Mr. Dilzar Qadir Bakr thanked Mr. Aza Abdul Rahman Hamad for his assistance and guidance provided to the students.
