Department of Dental Technology Organizes Scientific Seminar on Digital Technologies in Dental Technology
On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, the Department of Dental Technology at Cihan University–Erbil organized a specialized scientific seminar addressing the latest advanced digital technologies and their modern applications in the field of dental technology.
The event featured distinguished speaker Dr. Chener Subhi, a certified trainer for Exocad software, who discussed the “Full Anatomic Crown Exocad Workflow.” The seminar provided an excellent platform for students and instructors of the College of Dental Technology to explore advanced CAD/CAM applications and gain practical insights into digital workflows that are transforming modern dental laboratories. Participants learned how digital tools, including ExoCAD, enable the precise design, modeling, and fabrication of restorations such as crowns and bridges, ensuring improved efficiency and accuracy in the dental lab.
The speaker emphasized the significance of integrating digital design software and computer-aided manufacturing into the dental technology curriculum, highlighting how these advancements prepare students for the evolving demands of the dental industry. The session fostered academic engagement and encouraged students to develop essential digital competencies that align with international standards in dental laboratory practice.
The seminar was attended by the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Assistant Professor Dr. Ninos Polus Philip, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ayad Hazim Hassan, who commended the presenter for his contributions. At the end of the session, Dr. Ninos expressed his appreciation and presented a certificate of recognition to the speaker in acknowledgment of his efforts to advance academic and technical knowledge in digital dental technology.
