Department of Interior Design Engineering Students Conduct Site Visit to Diwan Land in Erbil

On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, second-year students from the Department of Interior Design Engineering at Cihan University–Erbil conducted a site visit to Diwan Land in Erbil. Assistant Lecturer Lana Shahab Ahmed supervised the visit, and Mr. Aram Mustafa Karem, General Manager of Diwan Land Group–Erbil, officially received the students.

At the beginning of the visit, Mr. Aram delivered a welcoming speech in which he introduced the concept of Diwan Land, its design vision, and its role in providing contemporary interior solutions. He explained the showroom’s organizational layout, product zoning, and display strategies used to highlight furniture collections, lighting systems, decorative elements, and finishing materials. He also discussed the relationship between interior design concepts and market demands, emphasizing quality control, careful material selection, and client-oriented design approaches.

Mr. Aram further explained the interior display techniques adopted within the showroom, including spatial composition, color harmony, furniture arrangement, lighting distribution, and decorative integration. In addition, he provided technical clarification regarding materials, surface finishes, and current trends in residential and commercial interior design.

The visit concluded with an interactive discussion session during which the students’ asked questions about design execution, supplier coordination, budgeting considerations, and project management.
