DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS ORGANIZED A VISIT TO THE KURDISTAN PARLIAMENTARY UNION

On May 11, 2023, the Department of Business Administration organized a visit to the Kurdistan Parliamentary Union for second-stage students under the supervision of Mr. Amanj Ali Othman and Assistant Professor.Rashid

Upon arrival, Mr. Amanj Ali Othman and Assistant Professor Rashid Mikhail Muhammad and the students were received by Mr. Karim Bahri, the Union’s deputy.

Mr. Karim Bahri presented to the students the departments of the union, then the students visited the VIP hall. He also gave an overview of the Kurdistan Parliamentarians Union, how it works and its cooperation with other institutions in the Kurdistan Region. Mr. Karim Bahri explained that the Union of Parliamentarians is an advisory body that works to provide advice to the relevant institutions.

He indicated that the primary duty of parliamentarians is to legislate, follow-up and investigate the work of the government, and with regard to the method of elections, he saw that open elections are better than closed elections.

Finally, the students and supervising professors thanked Mr. Karim Bahri for the kind reception and the valuable information he provided to the students.
