DEPARTMENT OF LAW ORGANIZED A SCIENTIFIC VISIT TO COURT OF APPEAL

On 27 October 2022 (Thursday), the Department of Law organized a scientific visit to Court of Appeal in Erbil for third-stage students under the supervision of Lecturer Mr. Ali Taha Akram.

During the visit day, Mr. Ali Taha Akram and third-stage students were welcomed by Governor of Masoud in the Personal Status Court, Governor of Hiwa in Public Prosecution Office, and Mr.Iyad Kaki the Head of the Bar Association Lawyer in Erbil. The students were also briefed on several job description by the lawyer in the judiciary court.

The students were briefed in detail on the commencement of trials, the delivery of judgments, the functions of the prosecution and the work of lawyers. Students were also given a court field tour to gain a deeper understanding of the structure of the Court of Appeals. In addition, the students became accustomed to the work of the Bar Association in each barroom and court.

In the end, Lecture Mr. Ali Taha Akram thanked the Court of Appeal staff for providing their assistance and care to the third-stage students and wished them success.
