Department of Law Organizes a Humanitarian Visit to Local Orphanage
On Thursday, January 29, 2026, third-stage students from the Law Department at Cihan University–Erbil conducted a charity visit to a local orphanage. The humanitarian activity was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Saman Hassan Ali, who coordinated the students’ efforts to support children in need.
Upon arrival, the students were warmly received by Ms. Zhino Azad, the manager of the facility, who expressed her appreciation for their compassionate initiative. The students brought essential supplies for infants and young children to meet the daily needs of the orphanage residents. Mr. Ayoub, the assistant director of the institution, then provided the students with a tour of the facility, explaining the challenges involved in caring for the children and highlighting the importance of community support. The students spent meaningful time with the children, distributing supplies and interacting with both staff and residents. The visit underscored the vital role that educational institutions play in fostering social responsibility and community engagement among young people.
The activity concluded with the students and their supervisor expressing a commitment to continued support for the orphanage. Ms. Azad thanked the Law Department for its generosity and invited the group to return for future visits, emphasizing that such initiatives bring hope and essential resources to vulnerable children in the community.
