Department of Media Organizes Training Course on Digital Media

On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, as part of ongoing academic and scientific efforts to enhance professional standards and develop students’ capabilities and skills, the Media Department at Cihan University–Erbil organized a specialized media training session titled, Fundamentals of Writing for Digital Media.

The activity, held at Cihan Academy for Training and Development under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Jamal Hawrami, featured Mr. Brwa Kiani, Digital Media Manager at Rudaw, as the presenter. The training highlighted the characteristics of digital media and writing styles suitable for this medium. It also explored the impact of artificial intelligence on the nature of journalistic work, particularly in digital media, and discussed the challenges journalists face in this field. Additionally, the session addressed the skills journalists need to develop to succeed in the era of digital media and artificial intelligence. Students actively participated and received practical guidance on crafting content for digital media.

The training concluded with the Media Department presented a certificate of appreciation to Mr. Brwa Kiani and emphasized the importance of enhanced coordination between Rudaw Media Network and the Media Department at Cihan University-Erbil. Participation certificates were also distributed to all attending students.
