Department of Media Students Deliver a Motivational Seminar for Grade 12 Students at Al-Nahrain School

On Thursday, February 12, 2026, a group of students from the Department of Media at Cihan University–Erbil, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Dlan Ismael Mawlood, presented an educational and motivational seminar titled ‘The Challenge of Success in Grade 12’ for students at Al-Nahrain School in Ankawa.

The students were warmly received by Mr. Karwan Jaafar, the school principal. The seminar was delivered by two fourth-stage Media students, Safwan Bahaaddin and Salwa Shaalan. In the first session, Safwan highlighted the psychological and academic challenges faced by Grade 12 students. He emphasized that this stage is not only about studying, but also a test of will and resilience, encouraging students to approach it positively as an opportunity to achieve their goals.

In the second session, Salwa discussed effective study strategies and time management. She stressed that success depends on having a clear plan rather than simply spending long hours studying. She also explained how students can balance study time with rest to avoid mental fatigue and achieve better results.

At the end of the visit, the school administration expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Department of Media at the university and the participating students for their commitment to supporting the academic and psychological well-being of Grade 12 students.
