Department of Media Students Visit Akre Cultural Movement
A group of fourth-year students from the Department of Media at Cihan University–Erbil visited the Akre Cultural Movement on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Jamal Hamakarim.
Mr. Azad Mustafa, Head of the Akre Cultural Movement, received the supervising lecturer and students and highlighted the history of the movement and its role in advancing cultural affairs in the region. He also discussed the key activities and events organized by the movement to serve the community and raise awareness. Additionally, he referred to the sacrifices made by the movement to preserve the Kurdish language and identity and emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to cultivate an educated and culturally aware generation.
Mr. Azad then highlighted the importance of using new media as a modern tool for disseminating cultural activities and reaching a wider audience. He further emphasized the role that social media platforms and websites can play in enhancing cultural interaction and enriching digital content.
In conclusion, Assistant Lecturer Ahmed thanked Mr. Azad for the warm hospitality and reception, wished the movement continued success in its cultural efforts and activities, and expressed hope for establishing ongoing cooperation between the movement and academic institutions to benefit the students.
