Department of Public Administration and Department of Business Administration Conduct Scientific Visit to the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region in Erbil
On Thursday, February 26, 2026, second-year students from the Department of Public Administration and the Department of Business Administration at Cihan University-Erbil conducted a scientific visit to the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region in Erbil. The visit was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Raz Azad Jalal.
The students were received by Dr. Ghazi Sabr Dzaye, Legal Consultant to the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region. During the visit, he delivered a detailed briefing on the establishment of the Presidency and its constitutional role within the governmental system of the Kurdistan Region. He explained that the Presidency consists of the President of the Region and two Deputy Presidents, who are responsible for representing the Region and safeguarding the Constitution.
Furthermore, Dr. Ghazi clarified that the Presidency operates through three main bodies: the Office of the President, the Diwan, and the Advisory Authority of the Region. The Office of the President manages administrative affairs, while the Diwan implements decrees and organizes official relations. The Advisory Authority provides legal and administrative recommendations to support institutional decision-making. In addition, the Diwan includes seven directorates—General Administration, Legal, Financial, Protocol, Relations, Media, and Engineering—which work collaboratively to carry out the functions of the Presidency.
At the end of the visit, the students participated in a discussion session focusing on administrative workflow and coordination among the directorates. The session offered valuable practical insight into the executive structure and operational mechanisms of the Presidency.
