DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION ORGANIZED A VISIT TO THE DIRECTORATE OF PASSPORTS -ERBIL

On May 18, 2023, the Department of Public Administration student known as Mikhail Muhammad organized a visit to the Directorate of Passports of Erbil for second-stage students under the supervision of Mr. Muhammad Abdul-Karim Abdul-Wahhab. This visit aims to enhance students’ understanding of the process of issuing and managing passports and its importance in the lives of citizens.

Upon arrival at the Erbil Passport Directorate, the students were warmly welcomed by Colonel Kamran Mohamed Ali, officials and staff. They were shown to the reception hall where they were briefed on the passport issuance process and formalities.

Students visited different departments of the Directorate General where they learned about the different stages of the passport application process. You can observe procedures such as identity verification, collection of essential information, and issuance of passports. I also learned about the equipment and technology used to issue passports.

This was an opportunity for students to meet with staff and officials and discuss their experiences and roles in the passport department. They also asked about passport control challenges and recent developments in this area. The staff were friendly and answered students’ questions appropriately.
