DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION ORGANIZES A SCIENTIFIC TRIP TO ERBIL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

On Tuesday, October 15, 2025, the fourth-year students of the Department of Public Administration at Cihan University-Erbil conducted a scientific visit to the Erbil International Airport. The visit was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Raz Azad Jalal, who accompanied the students throughout the program. Upon arrival, the group was warmly welcomed by Mr. Haval Sidiyq Mustafa, Director of Human Resource Management at the airport.

As part of the visit, Mr. Haval Sidiyq delivered a brief yet informative presentation outlining the history, development, and organizational structure of Erbil International Airport. He also explained the organizational structure of Erbil International Airport consists of 1 General Directorate, 7 Directorates, 35 Departments, and 71 Units. This structured system ensures smooth management and coordination across the airport’s various administrative and operational areas.

Later, the students were introduced to several key airport sections, including the Airside, Apron, Aerodrome, and Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower. Mr. Haval provided detailed explanations about each area’s function — from the boarding and arrival processes in the passenger terminal to the strict security and safety procedures observed throughout the airport.

Finally, the Department of Public Administration expresses its sincere gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Haval Sidiyq Mustafa for his warm hospitality, informative presentation, and valuable guidance throughout the visit.
