Public Administration Students Visit the Directorate of Migration, Displacement, and Crisis Management
On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, a group of fourth-year students from the Department of Public Administration visited the Directorate of Migration, Displacement, and Crisis Management under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mahmood Al-Bashkali.
Upon arrival, the group was warmly received by Ms. Naz Jalal, Manager of the Directorate, who provided a comprehensive overview of the institution’s structure, responsibilities, and its role in managing crises within the Kurdistan Region. She also explained the procedures followed during emergency situations and emphasized the importance of coordination between governmental agencies.
Later, Ms. Azhen, Head of the Data and Information Department, delivered a detailed presentation on the Directorate’s data management system. She explained the methods used to collect and analyse information during crises and highlighted the importance of accurate data in supporting decision-making processes.
Finally, Ms. Razhan, a member of the Rapid Response Unit (RRU) team, described the unit’s role in emergency response operations, field coordination, and immediate intervention during crises. She discussed the practical challenges faced by the team and the strategies implemented to ensure effective and timely responses.
