English Language Department Students Deliver Edgar Allan Poe Literary Workshop at Baz Private High School
On Sunday, January 11, 2026, second-, third-, and fourth-stage students from the English Language Department delivered a workshop at Baz Private High School for 11th-grade students on the works of Edgar Allan Poe, including his short stories, novel, and poems. The workshop was held under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Marwa Mahmood Ameen.
Upon arrival, the students were warmly received by the school Principal, Ms. Sivana, and Mr. Razwan Jumaa Abdulla. The workshop began with a presentation by a third-stage student, who delivered a brief biography of Edgar Allan Poe, highlighting his literary works and major achievements. Each academic stage contributed to the workshop according to the assigned literary genre.
The workshop concluded with a poetry session delivered by fourth-stage students, who presented Poe’s famous poem “The Raven.” They explained selected lines from the poem and discussed the main message and lessons conveyed through the poem.
The workshop highly engaged the 11th-grade students, who actively participated throughout the workshop. The workshop concluded with positive feedback from the students, along with Ms. Sivana and Mr. Razwan, who expressed their appreciation and commitment to supporting continuous learning in English literature.
