Faculty Members from the Business Administration and Law Departments Participate in the Closing Ceremony of an International Training Program in China

On Thursday, 23 July 2026, faculty members from Cihan University – Erbil participated in the closing ceremony of an international academic training program held at Southwest Jiaotong University in Chengdu, People’s Republic of China.
Representing Cihan University – Erbil were Dr. Omaer Zubir Zahir, Head of the Law and International Relations Department, and Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qader from the Department of Business Administration. The training program brought together participants from six countries, including Iraq, Jordan, Brazil, Zambia, Nigeria, and Panama, providing a valuable opportunity for international academic cooperation, knowledge exchange, and cultural interaction.
During the closing ceremony, representatives from each participating country delivered presentations reflecting on their experiences throughout the training program. They expressed their sincere appreciation to the People’s Republic of China and Southwest Jiaotong University for the excellent organization, warm hospitality, and valuable knowledge gained during the program. The participants emphasized that they would return to their respective countries with enhanced knowledge of railway transportation and management, as well as new ideas and experiences that could contribute to future development.
Following the country presentations, Ms. He Qiang, Dean of Southwest Jiaotong University, delivered a speech congratulating all participants on successfully completing the training program. She also highlighted the importance of strengthening international academic cooperation and fostering lasting connections among universities and countries.
At the end of the ceremony, all participants received certificates in recognition of their successful completion of the course. The event ended with a group photograph, marking the successful completion of the international training program and celebrating the friendships, experiences, and academic partnerships established during their stay in China.
