Field Visit to the Great Zab River by Civil Engineering Department
On Tuesday, 23/11/2021, students in the Department of Civil Engineering at Cihan University-Erbil visited Ifraz No.3 Water Treatment Plant located on the Greater Zab river under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Dlshad Khurshid Ahmed as part of the ‘Water Supply’ subject.
Engineer Adnan, who explained the water treatment processes starting from taking the water from the river, followed by adding chemical materials, rapid mixing, sedimentation, and filtration.
The capacity of the water treatment plant is 10,000 m3/hr. and it supplying the treated water to Erbil city.
